Founder
Over 30 years ago, Maria founded Bow Lodge Cat Rescue with one simple mission: to ensure that every cat, no matter its age, colour, background or circumstances, had the chance to be loved and safe.
What began as one person's passion has grown into a rescue that has saved and rehomed countless cats and kittens. Maria's kindness, determination and unwavering commitment continue to inspire everything we do today.
Her belief has always been that every cat deserves compassion, a second chance, and a place to call home—a philosophy that remains at the heart of Bow Lodge Cat Rescue and guides our work every single day.
Kelly
Kelly has been a valued member of the Bow Lodge Cat Rescue family for many years, working closely alongside our founder, Maria, through every challenge and success. Her dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment have made a huge difference to the lives of countless cats.
As one of our trusted foster carers, Kelly opens her home to any cat that needs a safe place, offering love, patience and care until they are ready to find their forever family.
A true animal lover, Kelly also shares her home with her own cats and dogs, and her passion for animal welfare shines through in everything she does. Her kindness and selfless commitment are a vital part of what makes Bow Lodge Cat Rescue so special.
Laura
Laura joined the Bow Lodge Cat Rescue family several years ago and has become an invaluable member of the team. Her love for cats is undeniable, and she shares her home with a little feline family that she proudly calls her own.
Laura has found her special place within the rescue as one of our dedicated nursery fosters. She has a wonderful gift for caring for pregnant mums and young kittens, providing them with the warmth, safety and round-the-clock care they need during their most vulnerable stages.
With endless patience, kindness and a nurturing heart, Laura gives every mum and baby the very best start before they begin their journey to finding loving forever homes. Her dedication and compassion make a lasting difference to so many precious lives.
Sarah
Sarah has been part of Bow Lodge Cat Rescue since she was a little girl, growing up helping her mum care for cats in need. Her passion for animal welfare has only grown stronger over the years, and she is now a dedicated member of the rescue team.
Sarah fosters full-time, opening her home to cats of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring they receive the love and care they need before finding their forever families. She also supports with rescue intakes and attends call-outs where animals need urgent help, always willing to step in when needed.
Although Bow Lodge is a cat rescue, Sarah has a soft spot for all animals. Over the years, she has helped several dogs in need too, believing that every animal deserves a chance at a safe, happy life. Her compassion, commitment and willingness to help wherever she can make her an invaluable part of the Bow Lodge family. 🐾💙
Gina
Gina has been a cherished part of the Bow Lodge family for many, many years. Her kindness, dedication and compassion make her an incredibly valued member of our team, and she is loved by everyone who knows her.
Gina has a very special place in her heart for the older animals that are so often overlooked. Time and time again, she has opened her home to senior cats and dogs, giving them the love, comfort and security they deserve in their later years.
Her selflessness, patience and unwavering commitment to animal welfare inspire us all. We are so grateful to have Gina as part of the Bow Lodge family, and the countless animals whose lives she has changed are a testament to the incredible person she is.
Carly
Carly first joined Bow Lodge through a friendship with one of our team members, but it didn't take long for her to become part of the whole Bow Lodge family.
A true animal lover, Carly's passion for animals shines through in everything she does. She's also a proud horse owner, and her much-loved horse, Trigger, is a huge part of her life.
Having been with Bow Lodge for many years now, Carly has become a valued member of our team. Her kindness, dedication and willingness to help wherever she's needed make her an important part of the Bow Lodge family, and we're incredibly grateful to have her with us.
Louise
Louise became part of the Bow Lodge Cat Rescue family after offering to help foster a cat while another foster carer's home was being decorated. That one act of kindness sparked a passion, and she has been fostering ever since.
Today, Louise is one of our most experienced nursery foster carers, providing exceptional care to pregnant mums and young kittens. Her knowledge, patience and dedication have helped give countless vulnerable cats the very best start in life.
At home, Louise has a few beloved cats of her own, along with Trixie, her much-loved Bow Lodge rescue dog. Her compassion, experience and commitment make her an invaluable member of the Bow Lodge team, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does.
ChriSsy
Chrissy first came to Bow Lodge Cat Rescue as an adopter many years ago. Before long, her love for the rescue and its mission led her to become part of our wonderfully mad Bow Lodge family.
Now one of our experienced foster carers, Chrissy specialises in supporting pregnant mums and their kittens, providing them with the love, patience and care they need to thrive before finding their forever homes.
At home, Chrissy also has dogs and cats of her very own, all of whom she absolutely adores. Her kindness, dedication and nurturing nature make her a valued member of the Bow Lodge team, and we are so grateful for everything she does for the animals in our care.
Belinda and Dan
Belinda first joined Bow Lodge Cat Rescue as a volunteer, helping to organise and support our fundraising events. Alongside her husband, Dan, she has played an important role in raising vital funds to help the cats in our care.
It wasn't long before Belinda discovered a passion for fostering too. Since then, she has become an experienced foster carer, opening her home and heart to cats in need and helping them on their journey to finding loving forever homes.
For Belinda, cats bring so much joy and happiness, and her kindness, dedication and willingness to help wherever she can make her a much-loved member of the Bow Lodge family.
Karen
Karen joined Bow Lodge Cat Rescue simply because of her lifelong love of animals. A passionate horse rider and owner, she has always been dedicated to caring for animals and giving them the very best life.
After becoming involved with the rescue, Karen soon fell in love and adopted one of our Bow Lodge cats, making them part of her family.
As a foster carer, Karen has a wonderful way of making every cat feel safe, loved and truly special. She enjoys spoiling the cats in her care, ensuring they are happy, healthy and very well fed before they head off to their forever homes. Her warmth, kindness and generous heart make her a treasured member of the Bow Lodge family. 🐾💙
Lori and ant
Lori and Ant first came into our Bow Lodge world after sadly losing their own cat. They kindly reached out and offered us some medication they no longer needed — and little did they know that this would be the start of something very special.
Not long afterwards, we had a cat come into our care where we really needed some extra advice and support. Of course, Lori and Ant stepped up without hesitation.
Since then, they have become a very special part of the Bow Lodge family — and over the years they've even adopted their own little chaos crew from us! 😂🐾
We genuinely think these two might be cat whisperers. The nervous ones, the difficult ones, the ones who aren't quite sure about humans yet… somehow Lori and Ant manage to win them over. ❤️
Their patience, understanding and genuine love for cats shines through in everything they do. They don't give up when things are difficult; they give them the time, space and love they need to feel safe.
Michelle
Meet Michelle came to Bow Lodge already with her own bunch of crazy cats, so naturally she fitted straight into the Bow Lodge family! It wasn’t long before she added another to the gang, adopting the very handsome — and very naughty — Bengal, Orion.
Michelle has a huge love for cats and has become a valued asset to our team. Since joining us, she has helped handle some of the hardest and most challenging situations, always willing to step up and get stuck in when she is needed most.
Rescue isn’t always cuddles and kittens, and Michelle has shown that she can be relied upon through the difficult days as well as the good ones. Her compassion, commitment and love for the cats make her a wonderful part of our Bow Lodge family.
We’re very lucky to have her — although we’re not sure she’d say the same when Orion is causing chaos! 😂🐾💙
MichelLE
Michelle originally joined Bow Lodge as one of our wonderful cat socialisers, but it wasn’t long before she took the next step and began fostering cats and kittens too. Fostering is definitely a family affair in Michelle’s house! Her husband and son are always there to lend a hand — with her son earning himself the title of “The Cat Whisperer”. 😻
Together, they give our foster babies so much time, patience, love and socialisation. When the kittens come back to Bow Lodge ready to find their forever homes, they are happy, confident and beautifully well-rounded little characters. Michelle absolutely adores cats, and nothing ever seems too much for her to take on. Whether it’s a nervous cat needing patience, lively kittens causing chaos, or simply another little one needing somewhere safe to land, Michelle is always ready to help.
She is a huge asset to Bow Lodge Cat Rescue, and we are incredibly lucky to have not only Michelle, but her wonderful family, as part of our Bow Lodge family. 🐾💙
JACKy
Jackie first came to Bow Lodge after reaching out to us for a helping hand with a few bits and bobs… and somehow, like so many do, she ended up getting completely roped into the Bow Lodge madness! It wasn’t long before Jackie became one of our wonderful fosterers — she simply couldn’t resist!
Thankfully, Jackie is already a fully-fledged cuckoo cat lady, so she fits in with the rest of us perfectly. She opens her home to our cats and kittens, giving them the love, care and safe space they need until they’re ready for their forever homes.
Jackie has become a wonderful part of the Bow Lodge family, and we’re so grateful to have another crazy cat lady on the team.
RACHEL
Rachel runs her own cat-sitting business, so it’s safe to say she already spends most of her life surrounded by cats! 😹💙
Whenever she gets a spare moment, Rachel gives up her time to help us here at Bow Lodge. More recently, she’s become our foster cover, stepping in to look after our babies when our regular fosterers head off on their holidays.
But we’ve noticed something… Rachel is slowly but surely easing herself into the foster team. 👀😂 Oops… how did that happen?! 🤭🐾
We all know how Bow Lodge works — first you “just help out”, then you cover a foster, and before you know it there are kittens in your house and you’re officially part of the madness! 😂
Rachel is a fantastic help to us and a wonderful addition to our crazy Bow Lodge family.Careful, Rachel… we think we’ve nearly got you! 😹💙
BETHANY
Bethany came to Bow Lodge as a young girl, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching her grow into the amazing woman she is today.
Over the years, Bethany has become such a strong and valued member of the Bow Lodge team. She has taken on some of our poorly little ones, including nursing kittens through ringworm — which is certainly no easy task! She did an absolutely fantastic job, giving them all the care, patience and love they needed to recover and thrive. 🐾
Of course, Bethany has a cat of her own too… and guess what? Yep, you guessed it — a Bow Lodge baby! 😂❤️
